Necesitamos ir empujando una acción colectiva que detenga/denuncie las manifestaciones de xenofobia, intolerancia y racismo que existen en nuestros contextos.
Una de las acciones que podemos realizar desde este espacio, pero que puede trascenderlo, es enlistar las manifestaciones que existen en la jerga de los medios, la calle, el bus, la pulpería, el taxi, las oficinas gubernamentales y en otros sitios. Les sugiero algunas, pero les invito a que construyamos este mural virtual entre tod@s y lo extendamos a otros espacios de la vida cotidiana.
1. Desterremos la palabra ilegal. Nadie es ilegal por su sola condición de ser humano y ni siquiera por su condición económica, social, cultural étnica y religiosa.
2. No a la noción de indocumentación. No existe persona indocumentada. Existen personas con problemas de irregularidad migratoria pero que poseen en su cartera o billetera, algún documento que certifica quienes son; por lo tanto, no deben ser llamados indocumentados. Los ejemplos en estos días abundan y enrarecen la opinión pública.
3. Desterremos los chistes xenofóbicos e intolerantes. Hagamos un alto; impidamos su salida y reproducción. denunciemos en colectivo esas actitudes que sólo muestran inseguridad.
La lista puede ser aumentada. Para ello, propongo seguirla en el blog.

4. El debilitamiento y deterioro de los servicios sociales (educación/salud) no debe ser atribuido a la presencia de población migrante. Se debe más bien a la situación de disminución de la importancia del Estado Social en Costa Rica, experimentada casualmente desde mediados de los años 80.
5. Reprimir palabras como invasión, plaga, etc. Las informaciones de sistematización dan cuenta de la existencia de una cantidad importante de población migrante pero nunca suscribren tesis como: Millón de migrantes en Costa Rica, cientos de miles de ilegales en nuestras escuelas, colegios, hospitales, clinicas, parques...
